We scrub your PII before AI writes anything
When you tailor a résumé, ResumAI masks emails, phone numbers, home addresses, Social Security numbers, and profile links (LinkedIn, GitHub, personal sites) before the text is sent to any AI model. The model works on placeholders; the real values are restored only in your finished document, on your device. Batch tailoring and search-profile generation always scrub PII automatically.
Employer Shield keeps your search untraceable
Job hunting while employed is risky. In your Privacy Center you can list your current employer plus any confidential team, product, or client names. Those terms are stripped from every request before it reaches the AI and restored only locally — so nothing about where you work today leaks into a third-party model.
Your résumé is never shown to anyone else
Unlike “crowdsourced” résumé sites that display your document to other users or recruiters, ResumAI keeps your résumé private to your account. There is no public gallery, no shared visibility, no lead marketplace. It is yours alone.
We never train on your data and never sell it
Your résumés, job history, and tailored documents are not used to train AI models and are never sold or shared with data brokers. We use established AI providers to process your tailoring and profile requests and pass along only what's needed for that request — scrubbed of PII first.
Bring your own key — we never see it
On the Bring-Your-Own-Key plan, single-job tailoring calls your AI provider directly from your browser. Your API key is stored in your browser's local storage and your résumé text never passes through our servers for those calls at all.
You can export or delete everything, instantly
From Settings → Account you can download a complete JSON copy of everything on your account, or permanently delete all of it from our servers with a single confirmation. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — no “contact support to close your account” runaround.
A note on scope
PII scrubbing uses pattern matching to catch the overwhelming majority of contact details, and Employer Shield redacts the exact terms you provide. No automated system is perfect, so we recommend keeping Incognito mode on and adding any names you consider sensitive to your Employer Shield. Job matching and scoring run on a model we run ourselves rather than a third-party AI API, and your résumé text is not sent to a third party to compute match scores.
